Ashes to Fire is a graphic novel written and illustrated by D9. This exciting story is about a young dragon named Sooty. He lives in a peaceful valley with several other dragons. Seven great mountains act as a dam to prevent their home from becoming a lake. But when something goes wrong, the whole herd must migrate to find a new home. Along the way, Sooty gets separated from the herd and encounters many adventures, finding the true fire within his own ashes.

Hi, my name is Elsa. I'm a State Alchemist and a member of the Host Club. XD I have been drawing for most of my life, but have only started to get more serious about it and began studying techniques around 2 to 3 years ago. I also became interested in frame by frame animation and tried making my own animated shorts. My main favorite subject for drawing would have to be animals more than anything else. Mostly cartoony or realistic cats, dogs, wolves, the occasional person, horses, dragons, and other mythical and/or real creatures.

For my digital drawings, I use a Wacom Bamboo Fun Pen tablet and Photoshop Elements 6.0 or Microsoft Paint (This includes for animating as well as still pictures).

For traditional drawings, I use any pencil (mainly Sumo Grip 0.7) and paper, 05 Micron inking pen, and a 72 pack of Rose Art colored pencils for coloring.
